Y @ Fosseway and Six-ways youth club in Stockland Green continue to be the bases which our services reach out from in the Erdington area – these services are delivered in partnership with Birmingham YMCA. Our projects deliver focussed work in a variety of settings including schools and out on the streets. They enable the young people that engage with the service to gain personal development, increase confidence levels and improve their self esteem, educating and allowing them to learn new skills and make informed choices about their lives.
Highlights have included:
Five residential experiences over the year, giving 40 young people an opportunity to experience a variety of activities both nationally, and internationally; 35 young people have engaged in volunteering opportunities resulting with 4 young people going on to ask for work placements with us; one young person has gained employment as a youth worker at Clifton Road Youth Centre.
